Bose Automotive

BLOG EXPERIENCE | WEBSITE | APP DESIGN

Here are a series of visual solutions designed by me while working at CommCreative, a marketing agency in the greater Boston area.

Bose Performance + Corvette Stingray

When is a blog post not a blog post?

Bose Automotive team wrote an article about their involvement with Chevrolet in engineering a sound system like no other. Bose wanted something more than their typical two-column blog post format. The goal was to create a story-telling experience that would grab the viewer’s attention and keep them reading. Knowing there wasn’t a lot of time and budget for development I decided on a simple way to add little motion to keep the reader interested in seeing what’s next.

The solution was to serve up the page as a series of panels in order to break up the long form copy and make it more easily digestible. As the user scrolls, the next panel slides up and over the previous panel. Also, through the use of full-width photography provided by Corvette and large pull-quotes, the reader stays engaged and is encouraged to learn more about the collaboration.

Bose Automotive: Panaray System

Bose Automotive needed a stand-alone microsite to promote their new Panaray audio system featured in the Cadillac CTS. Because of the audience the vision for this site was to give the sense of luxury and class. The simple grid design allows the rich photography to stand out and visually tell the story.

To add motion to the homepage, I cut a clip from the Bose Panaray brand video and added it to the background of the masthead. When the user lands on the homepage the video clip autoplays.

Bose Automotive: Showroom App

Bose Automotive’s showroom app is a selling tool used at press events, customer visits, vehicle launches, and trade shows to perform audio demos in vehicles. The problem was OEM’s didn’t want to use it because of it’s dated look and poor user experience.

The solution was redesign the interface using Bose’s new branding and also ensure it has smooth functionality and a more enjoyable UX.
